Having been to most of the grounds in Britain following Newcastle United over the years... there are 2 or 3 that really stand out for me as being extra special - LIVERPOOL and CELTIC..... and perhaps WEST HAM when they forgot about trying to kill you for 5 minutes.

In recent years - following the creation of the all seater - season ticket - lets see how much we can charge them world we now live in here in the UK - I find it so sad that the folk that want to sing are often scattered in little pockets around the ground at so many grounds ... and much of the singing has gone forever.

What also worries the hell out of me is the advancing average AGE of the crowds at games. Someone is pricing kids and families off the terraces and maybe it wont just be the death of singing we should be really worrying about.....

I agree.

Although the loss of singing around the football grounds has disintrigated a little, it's well known that the problem isn't new. Take Old Trafford for example, 65,000 + seats and yet.. it's as quiet as the local Sunday league side at times. The same could be said for stamford bridge, home of the English league Champions, yet from how the atmoshere is represented on the T.V, it sounds rather flat and un-motivated!

Football HAS changed and the respective owners/chairmen of the big clubs are now just as concerned if the fans are paying enough for the tickets as they are with the old-fashioned passion, commitment and desire that should be globally present in modern day football.

A point to bring back the standing terraces? ......... I dunno, I rather like my seat! Embarassed

thats why fc united started...to kick the fat cats out of football. It is home for the most anti glazier fan, people who have been priced out of the game or simply as mufc reserve team. Same as AFC wimbeldon. Well Done the revolution starts here

admin karl get out of liverpools backside. no noise at all coming out of anfield the other day. The reason man usa and chavski are quiet is it is either poor oposition or poor kick off times. We woud still have terraces if it wasnt for heysel and hillsbourgh. I hate United but at least there is some atmosphere at O.T
